We are fortunate to be in the company of this soul brother of Dizzy and Moody, this disciple of Cannonball and Oscar.

The program comprises standards from what is familiarly called “The Great American Song Book” and jazz standards by Dizzy, Monk and Wayne Shorter. The rapport between trio and audience is obvious.

Many jazz artists have interpreted some of these tunes, but none with more artistic integrity as performed by the Mike Longo Trio. This one, most assuredly, is one to treasure
